This kitchen design and installation project was in a converted manor house at Arterberry Road, Wimbledon, South London. Although the property itself was full of character, the existing kitchen was located at the rear of the flat in a small, dark, and underwhelming space that didn’t reflect the home's scale or style.
The client wanted a kitchen that felt brighter, more open, and better suited to the property.

Client Brief
The aim was to completely rethink the layout. The original kitchen was cramped at the back of the flat, with limited natural light, while the dining room, a beautiful, well-proportioned space, was underused. The client wanted to relocate the kitchen into the dining room, transforming it into a statement space that felt both functional and impressive.
Alongside the layout change, the client wanted a high-end kitchen, comparable in quality to well-known luxury brands, but tailored to her home and lifestyle.

Kitchen Design & Planning
We designed a bespoke kitchen that made full use of the new space, creating a room that matched the property's character. The kitchen is an Inframe design, featuring the Charlotte door style, giving it an elegant, high-quality finish.
The main cabinetry is finished in a soft Shell colour, keeping the space light and refined, while the island is a deeper Lava tone to add contrast. Although the client originally considered a hand-painted finish, a high-quality spray finish was chosen to deliver a more durable, consistent result without compromising appearance.
As part of the project, we also designed and installed a matching utility room, finished to the same high standard and designed to flow naturally from the kitchen while adding practical storage and workspace.

What Claire from Wimbledon had to say about her new kitchen and utility room
"I cannot recommend Harry Joshua designs highly enough. I had been thinking about changing what was a dining room into a large kitchen diner and my old small smaller kitchen into a utility room but the project just seemed a bit too much for me to get my head around.
I made enquiries with lots of the top kitchen companies most of them wanted me to send photographs and measurements, et cetera or at the very least go to their showrooms.
Adam was completely different. He came round personally and talked through exactly what I wanted. He told me he could create a very high spec kitchen and utility room for far less than the other so-called high-end companies and he certainly delivered on
One of the things I liked most about the company is that you’re not buying the units from one place and then getting the kitchen fitted by somebody else. Adam and his team take care of the entire project.
They really do care - any minor niggles were addressed immediately and without quibble.
Harry Joshua have turned a room that was rarely used into the room we use most in the home and we are absolutely delighted."

Kitchen Installation & Project Management
This was a fully managed project that covered far more than the kitchen and utility installation. The works included building alterations, plastering, new electrics, plumbing, and additional upgrades, all coordinated as part of a single, seamless project. By managing everything in-house, we ensured that every detail was delivered to the same high standard.
The Finished Kitchen
The finished kitchen completely transformed the flat. What was once a dark, confined kitchen is now a much brighter, open, and welcoming space that suits both the property's scale and elegance. The new kitchen feels grand yet practical, offering excellent storage, with a strong focal point.
The final result delivers exceptional quality and craftsmanship, all within a clearly defined budget.
